State of the Union
Week 11 has come and gone, and Deucecuppers have three regular season games to go.
Two teams – Grayson (3-8) and Lee (2-9) – have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, setting up a potential Toilet Bowl rematch. Last year’s Toilet Bowl between these two teams was an absolute barnburner – a 1.12 point victory by Lee to hand Grayson his third consecutive Toilet Bowl Championship (loss).
Tolmie is technically still alive for post season play, but only because the final three weeks of the season are all interdivision matchups. If Tolmie wins out, and two of Andrew, Joe, and Jim lose out, Tolmie could potentially get into the playoffs via tiebreaker.
Ross is only a little less dead than Tolmie, sporting a 7% chance of making the playoffs according to ESPN, which is a touching tribute to his Seahawks.
Court has locked up a playoff spot. Eric is in with one more win or with a Ryan or Ben loss. Kyle is in with two more wins or with two more losses by one of Joe, Andrew, or Jim. Kyle should hold the tie breaker over all three, so unless things truly go off the rails, Kyle will punch a ticket for a playoff berth.
Joe, Jim, Andrew, Ryan, and Ben all have the same record (6-5) and are likely fighting over three playoff spots – two in Protoss and one in Zerg.
Week 12
Week 12 has some massive matchups:
- Kyle and Court face off with Kyle on a seven game winning streak and Court brining in his own five game winning streak. The teams are collectively 13-1 since Week 4.
- Ross (4-7) faces off against Joe (6-5). Ross needs to run the table and Joe needs a win to keep pace with Jim and Andrew.
- Jim (6-5) plays Ryan (6-5), and Andrew (6-5) plays Ben (6-5). Whoever loses these games will be on the outside looking in for the playoffs.
Power Rankings:
12. 3 Time Toilet Bowl Champion
The fact that Grayson has eked out three wins is actually impressive. Grayson is sitting at 986.3 Points-For, which is the lowest in the league, and Grayson is the only team not to be in the four digits. Grayson has booked himself a ticket to the Toilet Bowl playoff and without a few upset wins down the stretch, Grayson will be sporting a first round bye to boot.
11. Flock of Leegulls
Lee has had himself a season, with massive injuries across the board – including to Derrick Henry. Lee’s point total for the year is respectable, but a lot of those points came in the first few weeks with Derrick Henry.
10. Team GodHatesJags
Tolmie needs a miracle to get to the playoffs.
9. Chalupa Batman
Ross has had an unlucky run this year. He’s seventh in the league in Points-For but needs a lot of help to get into the playoffs.
8. Idaho Bridge Nutless
Ben has the second worst Points-For in the league. Somehow, he’s translated that into six wins, good enough for a two way tie in Zerg. We’ll see if Ben’s good luck holds and he sneaks into the playoffs.
7. IntheCARR GettinATJ
Jim is right behind Ben in Points-For. A late season Chiefs surge could lead Jim to the promised land with his Mahomes-Kelce stack.
6. Dad Therapy 4.0
Ryan has outscored his Week 12 opponent Jim in each of the last six weeks.
5. King Can
Of the three teams tied for second in Protoss, Andrew is second in Points For. Andrew only needs to beat out either Jim or Joe for a playoff spot.
4. Joe’s Fantasy Football Team
Joe’s team is solid – even after he dropped Justin Herbert (currently QB5) for the Matthew Stafford.
3. Pappy McPoyle
With the second best record in the league and the third best Points For, Eric is one game out of a first round playoff bye and is almost guaranteed a playoff spot.
2. Barenaked Cladys
Kyle was left for dead in the Chili’s parking lot after starting the season 0-4, but he perked himself up with a few Dead Nazis and is on an absolute tear – the winner of seven in a row. Kyle is the best team in the league by Points For and would have secured the No. 1 spot if Court had not already locked up his playoff birth.
1. Sister Christian
Court has the best record in the league, has locked up a playoff birth, and is currently set for a first week playoff bye.
